Lev Manovich, digital artist, author and Associate Professor at the Visual
Arts Department, University of California, gave a presentation on 'Meaningful
Beauty: Data Visualisation in New Media Culture'. Lev's keynote address examined
the aesthetics and practice of new media culture and was followed by a panel
chaired by Dr Richard Barbrook (Hypermedia Research Centre) and featuring Robert
Worby (Sonic Arts Network), Lina Dzuverovic-Russell (ICA) and Lewis Sykes (Cybersalon),
who discussed the implications of Lev's keynote address.

Spinning in the bar were DJs Rears and Smart Monkey (Free
Radical Sounds) while The iRiealists mixed their live visualisations.
